Transformation – District Change Champion

Another exciting new opportunity for you to be involved with the District. We are looking for someone to:

  • Take big picture plans and help them work in a local context – considering local timelines, commitments and communication channels.
  • Support members in the District to connect the dots about what the changes mean to them.
  • Drive local decision-making, planning, and delivery of change.
  • Manage the readiness check-list for the District.
  • Help shape future support for the movement by feeding back what’s working and what’s not via the County Transformation lead.

District Youth Team

The Youth team are looking for young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who would like to become the next youth Commissioners or just part of the Team.

We would like to have people representing the youth membership in all our District Teams. We need representatives at the Volunteer Development Team, 14-24 Team, Support Team, Programme Team, and leading on our Youth Ambassadors Programme.   • Beavers Lead
    • We are looking for someone to lead our Beavers section as part of the team. This person will be required to maintain those contacts and encourage the good communication between Colonies from across the district, building on Heather’s work over the last few years. This will include holding termly meetings either online or face-to-face, supporting Colonies with developments and events, and feeding back information to the team lead.
  • Top awards
    • We are looking for someone to lead The Top Award programme across the sections as part of the team. This person will be required to maintain those contacts and encourage the good communication between sections from across the district building on the work by other leaders over the last few years. This will include holding termly meetings either online or face-to-face, supporting sections with developments and events, and feeding back information to the team lead. It will also involve working with the Youth Commissioners and developing opportunities for the District to achieve the Top Awards and the Youth Shape Award.
  • Activities Team Lead
    • This role will be to support and develop activities across the District, manage the permit scheme and support Leaders in delivering adventurous activities and events. The ideal leader will have some interest in activities already and have some experience in organising teams.

14-24 Team Lead

We are looking for someone to lead the 14 to 24 Team in the District. This person will be required to maintain those contacts and encourage the good communication between Explorer Units & the Network from across the district building on the work by other leaders over the last few years. This will include holding termly meetings either online or face to face, supporting Explorers and Network with developments and events and feeding back information to the Senior Leadership Team.

Group Lead Volunteer – Clearwell & Sling

We are looking for someone to lead 1st Clearwell & Sling as their Group Lead Volunteer. This person will be required to lead the group through their changes, support their leader development, maintain good practice within the group, and manage the group overall. This is an exciting opportunity for personal development and progression.
